Ded Roach

Ded Roach was a surreal, punk-leaning horror indie film centered on a mentally ill protagonist newly released from the hospital after a suicide attempt. I worked on costumes for the project, creating a visual language that felt fractured, abrasive, and unstable to mirror the character’s internal state. Some pieces were custom-made for the film, while many were pulled directly from my personal wardrobe and archive, allowing the costumes to feel lived-in, intimate, and unpolished—less like traditional costuming and more like an extension of the character’s psyche.
