Deserted Memories

For Deserted Memories, I collaborated with my sister, photographer Alycia Calderon, and designer Sarah Steelo on a concept rooted in both place and material. Shot in the desert, the project explores themes of nostalgia and decay through fashion constructed entirely from recycled media. The corset, headpiece, and choker were crafted from repurposed film strips, while the collar and boa were made using cassette tape cords, and the skirt was assembled from old electrical wiring. Together, these elements transform discarded materials into something expressive and haunting, echoing the quiet, forgotten atmosphere of the landscape itself
